School Counselor

Description:

A school counselor provides social, educational, career and personal assistance to non-SSC students. He/she frequently offers advice and career counseling to students about emotional problems, academic challenges, subject options, technical or trade schools, colleges and universities, giving them information on such things as applications, admissions, college entrance exams and financial aid along with teaching job-finding skills. A school counselor is also often involved in peer mediation and conflicts between students. If a student has adjustment issues, the counselor works with school administrators, teachers, social workers, parents and the student to solve the problems and development.

Requirement:

  • Proficient in spoken and written English
  • Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree in Counseling and Guidance, Psychology or Master’s Degree in Clinical or Educational Psychology
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
  • Knowledgeable regarding child development as well as the subject they teach
  • Have a strong communication and presentation skills, adaptive, and a self-regulated learner
