Sekolah Cikal Amri Setu uses the Cikal 5 Stars Competencies as its core curriculum. The learning approach focuses on personalised learning and the 5Cs, which support each student's development and needs. The 5Cs stand for Compassionate Connection, Comprehensive Context, Challenging Choices, Community Context, and Constructive Continuity. By integrating these five skills, the curriculum aims to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and values to thrive academically, socially, and personally.
Sekolah Cikal Amri Setu has international affiliations for curriculum development, such as the Cambridge curriculum for Years 9-10 and IBDP for Years 11-12. The Diploma Programme is a rigorous academic program that prepares students for the challenges of higher education. It aims to create lifelong learners by developing the IB Learner Profile characteristics. The IB Diploma Programme comprises six academic subjects and the IB Core. Each subject is either studied at a standard level (SL) or in greater depth at a higher level (HL). Sekolah Cikal Amri Setu offers the IB Diploma Programme for the following subjects: Group 1: Language and Literature (Indonesian and English) Group 2: Language Acquisition (Indonesian and English) Group 3: Social Studies (Business Management, History, Economics, Psychology) Group 4: Experimental Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics) Group 5: Mathematics (Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches, Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation) Group 6: The Arts ( Visual Arts) Core Subject: Theory of Knowledge, Creativity, Activity, Service, and Extended Essay. The Diploma Programme is a course of study recognised by university admissions departments as a rigorous and demanding education programme that prepares students for higher education. Alongside the curriculum, the Diploma Programme Core includes an extended essay, which is a chance for the student to specialise in an area of interest to themselves, and TOK – Theory of Knowledge, where students get a chance to reflect on the nature of knowledge and on how they know what they claim to know. The Diploma Programme constitutes a holistic educational experience designed to optimise both personal and interpersonal development through experiential learning methodologies. This framework provides structured opportunities for students to cultivate self-determination and advanced collaborative skills, thereby fostering a profound sense of intrinsic accomplishment and intellectual fulfilment. Concurrently, the Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) component serves as a vital pedagogical counterbalance, mitigating the rigorous academic demands inherent in the broader DP curriculum. Sekolah Cikal Amri Setu offers a more holistic, detailed and comprehensive approach to its religious education, especially the Islamic Studies program, to establish deep moral and spiritual maturity alongside academic excellence. The Islamic program seeks to bridge the gap between religious theory and real-life behaviour, transforming knowledge across cognitive, affective, and psychomotor levels to shape students into whole, thriving individuals with strong character, continuously striving to perfect faith, piety, and noble morals. Below are the details of the enhancement: Sekolah Cikal Amri Setu offers four Islamic Studies sub-programs: Al-Quran & Hadits, Aqidah and Akhlak (Faith and Ethics), Fiqh, and Islam and Civilisation. Each program features additional learning credits, extended instructional hours (equivalent to 5–6 weeks), and greater depth of study, providing a more comprehensive and enriched learning experience for students. There are also some additional options for extended Islamic programs: Quran and Science, Tahfidz, etc. At Sekolah Cikal Amri Setu, the school community fosters daily spiritual habits by seamlessly integrating prayer and worship activities into the students’ timetable. These routines include morning Quranic recitation and reflection, as well as communal prayers such as Dhuha and Zuhur, ensuring that spiritual development is an integral part of each school day. As an inclusive national private school, Sekolah Cikal Amri Setu welcomes students from all backgrounds to deepen their understanding of religious studies and the cultural and ethical roots of their faith, such as Islam, Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, and Catholicism. Sekolah Cikal Amri Setu prepares students for the real world by teaching them how to build bridges, not walls. We guide them to look at the world with curiosity and compassion, ensuring they grow up to be sensitive, respectful citizens who value and celebrate the diverse faiths and beliefs around them.
